Toronto police have made an arrest after a road rage incident in Scarborough went viral on social media, however, the search continues for a second suspect involved.

Police responded to a call for reports of a person with a knife in the area of Danforth and Kennedy roads shortly after 10:30 a.m on Sunday.

It is alleged that two men were seen driving dangerously in the area, which prompted a driver to get out of his car and confront them.

Police say the driver left his car and attempted to stab the victim with a knife. Then, the second suspect left that same car to threaten the victim. Afterwards, both men returned to their car and fled the scene, according to police.

In a video posted on X, the driver dressed in light blue can be seen getting out of his car in the middle of a lane wielding a knife, followed by the second suspect in red who gets out immediately afterwards.

The driver attempts to stab the person recording the incident, while the person filming is backing away.

On Tuesday, police said they arrested 21-year-old Rishabh Barua of Ajax with one count of dangerous operation of a conveyance, possession of a weapon for a purpose dangerous to the public, assault with a weapon, and two counts of breach of recognizance.

Police are still on the lookout for the second male suspect described as 20-30 years old, with a black beard and black short dreadlocks. He was last seen wearing a red shirt, red shorts, a black baseball hat, and black running shoes. They have released a photo to help identify him.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 416-808-4100 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
