Four more years

It’s over. It’s finally over.

The gruelling slog that was the 2012 American presidential campaign came to an end Tuesday night with Barack Obama re-elected as commander-in-chief, four years and several billion dollars later.

At the Dominion Ballroom in the Sheraton Hotel on Queen Street, a crowd of hundreds erupted in cheers as the decisive results rolled in just after 11:15 pm. The election night party, hosted by Democrats Abroad, drew Obamaniacs from across the city.

Drone on, Mr. President, drone on.
