Those heading to the Salsa on St. Clair festival might encounter some hiccups if they’re planning on using the TTC.
Planned closures on Line 1 Yonge-University will coincide with the festival this weekend, but it will only impact travel between St. Clair and Sheppard-Yonge stations.
Starting July 6, there will be no subway service between St. Clair and Sheppard-Yonge stations due to planned station improvements and track work.
Those planning to attend the Salsa on St. Clair festival which takes place on St. Clair Avenue West between Winona Road and Christie Street, should arrange alternative routes or make use of the Line 1 shuttle bus replacement service if their journey is affected by the closure.
Two extra Wheel-Trans vehicles will operate in the area for customers who require assistance.
Lawrence Station will also be closed during this time.
Meanwhile, starting July 8, the main entrances at Yonge Street and Lawrence Avenue will be closed until mid-2025 while elevators are installed at the station.
As a result, access to and from the station will be restricted to the entrances on Yonge Street at Ranleigh Avenue and Bedford Park Avenue, the TTC confirmed in a service update.
