What’s happening April 19, 2010:
Round two of the TTC union’s fight for redemption following a long string of infuriating customer relation SNAFUs (employees napping, assaulting, skipping off on breaks, driving drunk, and so on), went down Sunday. People were angrier this time, which might be a bad sign of what’s building for Ryerson’s finale May 2.
—
But hey, maybe napping TTC collectors are taking cues from the Pope. Even he can’t stay awake through mass. Wonder if he’s dreaming all the sex-scandal news will go away.

Ontario school boards can’t do math. Why? Because they just blew $16.7 mil hiring retirees instead of hiring new teachers. The issue revolves around supply teaching duties being given to retirees who work at a higher rate than new teachers, who are scrambling to scrape together enough work.
—
Oh, they need $16.7 mil? Why not just fine Toyota? That’s roughly the amount (US$16.4m) Toyota has been fined by the US’s department of transportation. It’s just in time to hear Toyota is recalling 870,000 Sienna vans over corrosion problems.

Finally, every time you figure Canadian politics is boring and we don’t know how to protest – remember that open-carry protests are growing in the US. Those are rallies where nut jobs walk around with loaded guns/rifles in open view and/or slung on shoulders.[rssbreak]
