What’s happening April 7, 2010:

A new billboard bylaw has gone through at the city. It will help raise $10 mil, and make stricter regs about lit signs, kill future roof signs and shorten contracts. Obviously billboard companies are whining/going to court to fight – even though this bylaw only affects new signs.

May is when we’ll hear the fate of the 31-km long Eglinton LRT, specifically, whether the largest project in Transit City will begin construction this year or whether it will be dragged out to death.

You should check out vanishingpoint.ca. It’s the beautiful, extensive website belonging to Michael Cook. He and Andrew Emond, were charged with mischief for documenting their fascinating urban exploration. Hopefully that won’t spell the end of the mapping site.

After a long look at the luxurious sunshine list, the province is saying it’s cracking down. For now, the target is hospital CEO pay.
