What’s happening August 17, 2010:
So it turns out that climate change denier Pat Michaels has finally spit out an answer to “who do you work for, really?”. Unsurprisingly, Big Oil pays 40 per cent of his wage – and that’s his own estimate.
—
Not shocking that Big Oil’s looking particularly bad these days. Even the U.S. doesn’t want to see more offshore wells get built without oversight. Now to just cut the “without oversight” part of that last sentence.

On to an eye-opener in L.A., where the mayor was out on a his first bike ride (in years) and a cab pulled out of a parking spot, across a bike lane and broke the mayor’s bones. He’s all about bike infrastructure and safety now. Go figure.
—
Back home, charges against the Toronto Humane Society were withdrawn after it was determined the OSPCA’s investigation was incredibly sloppy.
—
Finally, airdropped pamphlets are so passé. Today’s oppressive regimes choose Twitter for their propaganda needs. Right, North Korea?
