Happening NOW: February 26, 2010

What’s happening February 26, 2010:

The ever classy Maxime Bernier said climate science doesn’t explain climate change. Jim Prentice, the federal environment minister was quick to step back from Bernier, probably because he knows it’s crazy-talk.

Meanwhile one of the world’s most popular climate change skeptics, Patrick Michaels, is on a lot of payrolls, including the auto, fuel and mining industries.

Conservative MPs are really showing their true colours this week. Helena Guergis, minister of state for the status of women, got mad about airport security in P.E.I. After taking of her boots she yelled “Happy fucking birthday to me. I guess I’m stuck in this hellhole.” Then an airport staffer alleges she yelled, “I’ve been down here working my ass off for you people.” Oh “you people”, you sad little regular Canadians doing your job.

If anyone out there caught BlogTO’s first virus (the one they knowingly let linger on their site – infecting visitors for two weeks), the Trojan warning is back again this morning though it’s still unclear if they’re actually infected again. I can’t even imagine how frustrating this must be for them. Hopefully sorting it out will be quick and easy this time.

Finally, PETA was going to put up spaying and neutering PSA billboards using a picture of Tiger Woods. Obviously, he took offence.[rssbreak]
