Cyclists will be interested in trying out Ride the City, which is basically Google Maps with bikes in mind. The site, developed by ex-NYU Planning students, gives you a route that can be adjusted for safety, identifies lanes, and allows user feedback. Considering it’s new and yet to be put through Toronto cyclists’ experiences, it still looks really strong.

U of T Scarborough students blew it the other day, with 64 per cent voting to pay an extra $40 per semester ($120 per semester in 5 years) to build the Pan Am Games’ Aquatic Centre. The thing would have had to be built anyway, but hey, why not let students shoulder more costs.
