What’s happening May 7, 2010:

The Kenk graphic novel launch last night had a surprise guest. Kenk himself showed up, his hair cut short, no beard, but wearing his “I’m Tired” shirt. Oddly enough, nobody ran him out of the bar. Worse, some people even waited in line to have the hubristic man sign their copies of the book.

It didn’t take long for police to disagree with the G20’s poor protest site location. Trinity Bellwoods is no longer the official protester herding site. The peaceful neighbourhood park is being replaced by the much more sensible choice of Queen’s Park. But really, won’t protesters just go anywhere they want?

Meanwhile the BP oil spill’s still flowing. Now the company is trying to put a dome on the problem. The reality is that this problem won’t be going away for a long time. Take, for example, that the Exxon spill in Alaska is decreasing its presence on the shore at a rate of 0 to 4 per cent a year.
