Happening NOW: September 17, 2010

What’s happening September 17, 2010:

It was just a matter of time before George Foulidis, owner of the Boardwalk Pub decided Rob Ford should be taught the meaning of libel. Robbie ran his mouth about “corruption” around the pub’s east end park lease, and now he’s being threatened with a lawsuit.

“Brrrring…Dalton calling.” The message: cell phones should be allowed in Ontario classrooms.

What, deformed fish downstream from Alberta oil sands? Impossible. Those oil industry truth-sayers are always telling us everything is okay – even that Canada’s the moral torchbearer worthy of continuing to feed our fossil fuel hunger.

On the other hand, some tank filling can be awesome. Like the French wine vending machines coming soon to America. Seems like a distant dream for our drinking duopoly enslaved Ontario, though.

We’re always talking about hybrids, so why not include the animal kingdom. It’s looking more likely that mixing with Neanderthals helped some ancestors deal with harsher climates and bears are already cross-breeding to survive.
