This past weekend, The Royal Conservatory Of Music held the first of an inaugural series called 21c.

They invited us down to meet Damon Groves – the go-to man behind-the-scenes for all things piano at the RCM – to give us a run down on how a prepared piano is, well, prepared.

Groves was working in preparation for pianist Marc-Andre Hamelin’s performance of John Cage’s “The Perilous Night.”
