Olive Garden has finally entered the GTA, with its first location in Vaughan Mills.
This is the first Olive Garden eatery in Eastern Canada under the new national development agreement between Recipe Restaurant Group and Darden Restaurants Inc. In July 2025, Recipe acquired all existing Olive Garden locations from Darden with plans to expand across Canada.
“The opening of the first Olive Garden restaurant in Ontario is a significant milestone for Recipe,” said Frank Hennessey, Recipe Restaurant Group’s CEO in a press release.
Known for its unlimited breadsticks, salads, appetizers, and never-ending pasta deals, Olive Garden has held a reputation for being a family favourite eatery for nearly 45 years.
There are two other Olive Garden locations currently in development in Ontario, with a restaurant in the works in Ajax, in Durham region, and one in Ottawa, in Westboro. Recipe Restaurant Group confirmed plans to expand with several more restaurants across Ontario.
