Once parks, now garbage drop offs

A little update for those concerned about where they’re going to haul their garbage (and don’t have family in Etobicoke willing to stop by to take out the trash).

As of 7 am tomorrow, the city is opening three more temporary drop off sites (all in parks), and closing three full ones.

The new locations, open seven days a week 7 am-7 pm for your disposal and parkland poisoning convenience, are (click for maps):

Clairlea Park Arena – parking lot

45 Fairfax Crescent

West of Warden Ave., north of St. Clair Ave. E.

Campbell Park – outdoor rink

225 Campbell Avenue (near Lansdowne and Dupont). Enter off Campbell Ave., north of Wallace Ave.

L’Amoreaux Park – parking lot

100 Silver Springs Blvd. East of Birchmount Rd., north of Finch Ave. E.

The full ones closing at 7 pm tonight are: Earlscourt Park, Ted Reeve Arena and Wishing Well Park.

As always, reducing waste and composting will save you headaches and long wait times.
