11:19 am – Ontario is reporting 1,087 new cases of COVID-19 and 13 deaths. The numbers are based on 48,178 tests.
The province saw 1,228 new cases on Saturday, 1,150 on Friday and 1,038 on Thursday.
While the seven-day average of new cases is up slightly to 1,031, hospital admissions continue to trend downward, with 660 hospitalizations, down from 699 the day before.
The number of patients in intensive care, however, jumped from 263 on Saturday to 277 today. As of Saturday, 235,922 people have been fully vaccinated in the province.
Meanwhile, case counts for variants are growing. An additional five cases of the B117 variant have been confirmed, bringing the provincial total to 391.
