Pedestrian Utopia

Rating: NNNNN

Think of a Toronto with wide, pedestrianized streets, more dedicated bus lanes and fewer cars on our roads. (Think harder if you live in suburbia.) You can help make it happen by leaving the SUV at home and getting out to upcoming city-sponsored planning meetings on reducing car dependence and improving public transit. Yes, Virginia, there are transit dreams beyond the Sheppard subway-to-nowhere.

Stop by the Scarborough Civic Centre tonight (Thursday, March 22), Toronto City Hall Wednesday (March 28) or North York Central Library Thursday, March 29. Check your bus schedule all meetings start at 6:30 pm.
