Down Stateside last week, there was plenty of talk about the Powerball – that is, the $590.5 million lottery prize won by an 84 year-old Florida woman. But here, Toronto-side, we can’t be bothered with such things. (After all, it’s only like…$278.2 after taxes.) Last Thursday, Toronto hosted a different kind of Powerball: the Power Plant gallery’s largest annual fundraiser bash. This year, the party’s theme was “15 Minutes,” borrowed from Andy Warhol’s oft-quoted maxim that “In the future, everyone will be world famous for 15 minutes.” Well, the future is here!
