After less than a year (and despite nearly 5 million hits in October alone), lefty pundit Judy Rebick’s online magazine, rabble.ca, is on the ropes. Its annual budget of about $450,000 was recently cut by 35 per cent, and working hours were cut before a staffer was finally laid off. While they have raised enough money through donations (about $22,000) to publish through November, unless rabble comes up with some kind of secure funding fast, it could be curtains. So keep independent media alive — visit the site, dig deep and donate!
