A record-breaking jackpot of $68 million will be awarded to a lucky LOTTO 6/49 winner this week.

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) says its jackpot has never reached the top prize of $68 million before, since it was enhanced in Sept. 2022.

“It has taken 15 weeks and 30 draws for the LOTTO 6/49 Gold Ball jackpot to reach its top limit of $68 million,” the OLG said in a statement on Sunday.

So far, the largest LOTTO 6/49 win was $64 million from a ticket sold in New Brunswick earlier in April. Prior to that, a $64-million prize was also won in 2015 by a Mississauga resident.

The most recent Gold Ball jackpot prize was back on June 14. That was worth $42 million and the ticket was sold in Niagara Falls.

The winner for the Gold Ball Draw is set to be revealed this Wednesday which means a lucky winner will soon become a multi-millionaire.

Canadians still have a chance to win by purchasing a LOTTO 6/49 ticket for this Wednesday’s draw. Customers can buy their tickets online on the OLG website or at any OLG retailer until 10:30 p.m. Wednesday evening.
