Toronto in the summer isn’t just a season — it’s a full-blown celebration that takes over every park, patio, and street corner.

Although it’s still spring, some can’t help but think about what the city will quickly turn into, especially with the warm temperatures these past few weeks, often exceeding 20 C.

With just a little over a month to go until summer finally arrives, Torontonians are taking to social media to share some of their favourite things about the city during the season.

The conversation was recently sparked on Reddit and is getting tons of attention, with answers including fashion, the scenery, and of course the festivals.

“All the festivals! They happen every single weekend and in great abundance. Also walking around the city is so beautiful,” one Reddit user said.

After Toronto was hit by severe winter storms that left parts of the city and sidewalks buried underneath snow for weeks, it’s safe to say that this summer season is one of the most highly-anticipated.

The summer solstice will finally begin on June 20 at 10:42 p.m. EST.
