Toronto Hydro reported approximately 45,000 customers without power Wednesday night as crews responded to widespread outages caused by the storm.
The utility’s outage map shows that while power has been restored to many customers, some areas are not expected to have electricity restored until later Thursday, with estimated restoration times extending close to the end of the day.
For some other outages, Toronto Hydro has not yet provided an estimated restoration time, as crews continue to assess the damage and determine what repairs are required.

For Labour Day Monday, temperatures will be a little cooler, with a mix of sun and cloud during the day and a 30 per cent chance of showers overnight.
Overall, the long weekend is shaping up to be considerably calmer than Wednesday’s storm, with mostly dry conditions expected through the weekend.
