Federal NDP leader Alexa McDonough delivered an eloquent plea for peace in the House of Commons this week. It is essential that we reaffirm our commitment to pursuing peaceful solutions to the hostilities that breed such mindless violence. Right on, sister. It’s good to see that McDonough’s not rushing aboard the military bandwagon as she did in 1999 when she initially supported the bombing in Yugoslavia, only to later change her tune and back away from the unrelenting NATO campaign.
