UpFront: Julia Ain’t Gonna Work on Maggie’s Farm

Rating: NNNNN

Imagine our excitement when we caught bootylicious big-screen star Julia Roberts, who won an Oscar for her busty performance as a paralegal, on the front page of the Toronto Star this week.

Apparently, daily news was moving at a snail’s pace, prompting the paper to openly speculate about Roberts playing former Canuck first lady Margaret Trudeau. Of course, Roberts’s New York publicist, Marcy Engelman, firmly denies that she’s considering the role in the CBC made-for-TV movie about the late Pierre Trudeau (and given the fact that we’re talking hoser TV and not even NBC, she probably thinks we’re a little nuts for suggesting it). Anybody got Margo Kidder’s number?
