A driver in Ottawa has been fined for streaming pornography while driving on the highway.
The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said officers pulled over a driver on Highway 417 in Ottawa on Monday after they spotted them using their cell phone to watch explicit content at the wheel.
“Driving requires your full attention. Leave the phone alone, wait until you get home,” the OPP wrote on X on Tuesday, alongside an image of the suspect’s phone propped up on the dash.

The suspect received $615 in fines and three demerit points on their licence.
People are reacting online to the shocking stunt.
“Let me get this straight…this dude was pulled over for watching…his phone…while driving, and he didn’t even turn it off by the time the officer arrived at his window? He was STILL watching? Lmao,” one X user said.
“Absolutely disgusting. Hate seeing people text and drive, let alone doing this. Be better people,” another person wrote.
“Too lenient as usual. Take the assholes license away ffs,” someone else responded.
According to recent OPP fatal collision data, accidents caused by distracted drivers has increased more than 40 per cent year-over-year. As of October, it reported 63 deaths in crashes on OPP-patrolled roads so far this year, where distracted driving was the primary cause.
