Would you line up for 18 hours to get a PlayStation 4? Last Thursday, one Toronto guy did. And a whole bunch of other people fell in line behind him.
At 12:01 am on Friday, November 15 the Best Buy near the Eaton Centre at Yonge and Dundas opened its doors to gamers – and non-gamers looking to make a quick buck flipping the coveted next-generation game console online – eager to check out Sony’s newest hardware. We talked to the guy with the distinction of being the first to get his gloved paws on the new system. He was flanked by a man dressed as God Of War hero Kratos, and another dressed as Bumblebee from the Transformers films, for some reason. We also talked someone else who was planning to pick up a PS4 so he could resell it…to buy an XBox One. There was also a man dressed as an Xbox, there explicitly to rain on everyone’s parade.
