For Greater Toronto Area (GTA) residents looking to support Black businesses, go no further. Here’s a list of local businesses ranging from money-focused apps to fashion and more.

  1. REALONES BY THE GLOBAL BLACK ALLIANCE

RealOnes is a free GPS for Black-owned businesses and allies that helps users find businesses on their street or around the world.

“Join us as we build a platform that immediately connects us to our global community and true allies through Entrepreneurship, Commerce, Social Justice, Humanitarianism, and all things in between,” founder and owner of the Global Black Alliance, Joe Harry told Now Toronto.

The Global Black Alliance (GBA), home to the RealOnes app, seeks to connect the Black community on a global scale and it’s steadily growing.

Since launching RealOnes last winter, it has more than 75 businesses signed up in six countries and over $80,000 in investments.

Users can look forward to more updates in the app, learning more about businesses in their area and being part of a true alliance.

“All are welcome regardless of who you worship, who you love, how you identify or what your race is! Join the movement,” Harry said.

  1. HUTSY

Hutsy is a Black-owned Canadian financial super-app that provides an alternative option to traditional banking.

You can spend money, build credit, get your paycheck early, and receive instant cash back on all of your purchases at brands you love from Disney+, Uber Eats, Apple and more.

There are no monthly account fees, overdraft, minimum balance, or foreign transaction fees.

  1. DEBONAIR CORPORATE EVENTS

This Black-owned business produces high-quality meetings and events that provide clients a space for appreciation, networking and more.

Their events can be organized both in-person and online.

No matter the occasion, they have suggestions and solutions for your corporate, association or social event.

  1. BLACK OWNED TO

This Black-owned company features products created by local business owners in the GTA and across Canada.

They include a range of items from skincare and candles to toys for children.

  1. CLARENDON TRADING COMPANY

This company curates popular fashion in a more affordable way.
