Get ready to rave for three days straight, as Veld Music Festival returns to Toronto this weekend.
The electronic dance music (EDM) will be held at Downsview Park from Friday, July 31 to Sunday, Aug. 2. One-day passes start at $310 and a general admission three-day pass costs $490.
Among the must-see musicians performing sets are headliners Armin Van Buuren, FISHER, and Kx5 (a collaboration between Deadmau5 and Kaskade).

Armin Van Buuren
- Performing: Friday, July 31
Armin Van Buuren is a Dutch DJ who has been spinning records since 1996. He has been named the number one DJ in the world five times by DJ Mag. He makes EDM music, but he’s also famous for “trance music,” which is a subgenre of EDM designed to have dramatic builds and drops and tends to help people feel more relaxed. Van Buuren has become extremely popular in the United States, with twenty-one entries on the Billboard Dance/Electronic Albums Chart.
FISHER
- Performing: Friday, July 31
Paul Nicholas Fisher, known professionally as just FISHER, is on the bill for day one of Veld. He is an Australian music producer and DJ. In 2025, DJ Mag ranked him as the number seven best DJ in the world. FISHER gained popularity in the U.S. in 2018 with the single, “Losing It,” which peaked at number one on the Dance Club Songs chart. The song earned him a Grammy Awards nomination for Best Dance Recording. So far in 2026, he’s released two singles, “Favour” featuring Tones and I (whose song “Dance Monkey” dominated airwaves in 2019) and “What a Life.”
Above & Beyond
- Performing: Saturday, Aug. 1
Coming from the other side of the pond to Toronto on Saturday is London trio Above & Beyond. Composed of English DJs Jono Grant, Tony McGuiness, and Finnish DJ Paavo Siljamäki. Two of their singles (“We’re All We Need” and “Northern Soul”) have been nominated for Grammy Awards and like the other acts on this roundup, Above & Beyond have been consistently ranked in the Top 100 DJs in the world.
Illenium
- Performing: Saturday, Aug. 1
Illenium is undoubtedly a musician and DJ that most EDM fans are familiar with. Since coming onto the scene in 2008, he has released six studio albums, with the most recent being Odyssey (no relation to the Christopher Nolan movie) in February of this year. Outside of the EDM space, he is most known for working with artists like Taylor Swift and Halsey on remixes of their singles. Among other songs, Illenium has remixed Taylor Swift’s “Anti-Hero,” Halsey’s “Without Me,” The Chainsmoker’s “Don’t Let Me Down” and Lana Del Ray’s “Flipside.”
Kx5
- Performing: Sunday, Aug 2
Ontario’s very own Deadmau5 teamed up with American DJ Kaskade to form Kx5 and the duo will be closing out Veld on Sunday. Born in Niagara Falls, Deadmau5 has been producing music and DJing for nearly 30 years. In the early 2010s, he was consistently named in the top 10 best DJs in the world by DJ Mag and has been nominated for several Grammy Awards. Deadmau5’ 2010 LP 4×4=12 is arguably his best known, spending 66 weeks on the Billboard 200.
The other half of Kx5 is Kaskade, a Chicago born DJ who was voted America’s Best DJ by DJ Times in 2011 and 2013. He has logged multiple number one singles on the Billboard Hot Dance Airplay Chart, including “Move for Me,” “I Remember” with Deadmau5, and “Dynasty.”
