Drag, magic and dinosaurs: Brampton On Stage releases January to May 2024 lineup of performances that everyone can enjoy

We’re only a month away from a new year and in anticipation of 2024, Brampton On Stage has announced its January to May 2024 season of shows.

From Canadian musicians, poets, topre-historic puppets, to magicians, there’s definitely something for everyone to enjoy. The dynamic and diverse lineup includes both local and world-class performances and entertainment at Brampton’s three outstanding city venues: The Rose, Lester B. Pearson (LBP) and Cyril Clark. Tickets are always affordable ranging from $10-$89.

Without further ado, here are some of the stage productions included in Brampton’s upcoming new season:

An Evening With Tynomi Banks

Take a peak inside the life and career of superstar drag performer Tynomi Banks on Feb. 2 at The Rose. The legendary queen is inviting fans to join her on a special evening where she will perform iconic numbers, tell funny stories and unveil some new material. Fans will know the tea on celebrity run-ins, her experience on Canada’s Drag Race, lessons from her mom and more. The performance starts at 8 p.m.

An Evening With Eva Noblezada

For the very first time in Canada, fans of Broadway actress and singer Eva Noblezada, can partake in an evening with the talented artist as she takes you on her personal journey of music and theatre. Known for her acclaimed Broadway performances, Noblezada will be hitting The Rose stage to perform songs from classic musicals and reimagined pop hits. An Evening With Eva Noblezada is happening on Feb. 9 at The Rose, at 8 p.m. 

Murray The Magician Direct from Las Vegas and Pawn Stars

Have you ever wanted to assist a magician in his act? Well, now’s your chance to do so because Murray The Magician is coming to The Rose Mainstage. Direct from Pawn Stars and CW’s Masters of Illusion, Murray The Magician is immensely popular in the entertainment scene with over 5.5 billion viral views online for his work in comedy, magic shows and more. This show is available for all ages and will be held at The Rose on Mar. 2, at 8 p.m.

Bruce McCulloch’s Tales of Bravery and Stupidity

Kids in The Hall star Bruce McCulloch presents “Tales of Bravery and Stupidity,” a one-man show that depicts exactly what his title implies, stories of the bravely stupid things he’s done in his life and things we can all relate to. His show is described as funny, relatable and surprisingly touching. He hopes this production will help audiences understand and appreciate the beauty and joy in life. The show takes place at Lester B. Pearson (LBP) on Mar. 9, at 8 p.m. 

Erth’s Dinosaur Zoo Live

Here is a perfect activity for the kiddos during March Break. On Mar. 13, families can experience Erth’s Dinosaur Zoo Live at The Rose where visitors can embark on a breathtaking tour of the pre-historic times starting in Australia. In this tour, kids can learn, meet and interact with realistic, life-like dinosaurs and other creatures in a theatrical performance that will capture the minds and hearts of young children. Shows begin at 2 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

Tegan and Sara

Canadian pop duo Tegan and Sara, famous for their hits “Closer” and “I Was a Fool,” is going on tour and making a stop at The Rose stage on Mar. 22. The Grammy-Award nominated pair performs the “the NOT TONIGHT tour” to celebrate their 2002 album If It Was You. This tour promises an intimate evening of music packed with acoustic storytelling and fan-favourite songs with special guest Becca Mancari. The Calgary-born duo has sold over one million records and released ten studio albums over the span of their 25-year career. The show starts at 7 p.m.

Rupi Kaur with Sikh Heritage Month Foundation

Best-selling Canadian poet and illustrator Rupi Kaur is hosting an evening of performances in celebration of Sikh Heritage Month and the spirit of social justice and remembrance. The Brampton-bred writer is recognized for her popular books “Milk and honey”, “The Sun and Her Flowers” and “Home Body”, among others. She is set to take the stage on April 20 at The Rose,  at 8 p.m. 

360 Allstars

Have you ever watched a show that combined basketball, breakdancing, acrobatics, BMX, drumming and more? 360 Allstars is the entertainment show to watch if you’re looking for a thrill and an adrenaline rush. The show features a stellar international cast of World Champions and World Record-holding athletes and artists. Catch the show on April 24 at The Rose at 7 p.m.
