Fan Expo 2024
Fan Expo 2024 is back at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre and it’s bringing tons of interesting activities, celebrity guests, panels, one-of-a-kind merch and unique activations. Single-day passes start at $39 and four-day passes are $140. The convention runs until Aug. 25.

2024 TAIWANfest
Celebrate Taiwanese culture at the 2024 Taiwan Fest happening at Harbourfront Centre all weekend long. It’s free to attend and there’s going to be live performances, exhibitions, food and film. The event is from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

African Fashion Week Toronto 2024
Witness the best of African Fashion at the city’s annual African Fashion Week Toronto (AFWT) taking place at Yonge-Dundas Square. The event highlights designers and brands from Canada and around the world. There’s going to be free designer showcases, vendors, and an array of cultural activations.

Yorkville Murals
Yorkville Murals is taking over Yorkville Avenue between Bellair St. and Hazelton Ave. for a weekend full of incredible art, murals, inflatables, painting, music, shops and more. This year’s theme is “No Empty Spaces.” It’s a free festival that invites visitors to experience contemporary art and entertainment.

Union Summer Closing Week and Day Party with DJ Devo
This is your last chance to enjoy Union Summer at Union Station. On its closing weekend, visitors can dance and vibe to the beats of DJ DEVO at a day party from 4 to 9 p.m. During this, visitors can also try the multiple food vendors and refreshment stations available on site.

Pups in the Park
For the first time ever, the Toronto Downtown West BIA (TDWBIA) has partnered with Doggie Fest Toronto to unveil “Pups in the Park.” This is a two-day, free festival that commemorates International Dog Day coming up on Aug. 26 and transforms the park into a playground for furry friends and their owners. It’s being held at St. Andrew’s Playground Park (at Adelaide St.W. and Brant St. from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Toronto Outdoor Picture Show: Ferris Bueller’s Day Off
Spend your Sunday evening relaxing at Christie Pits with a film. The park is hosting a screening of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off as part of the Toronto Outdoor Picture Show. It’s free to attend and the show starts at 6 p.m. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own blankets, seats and snacks.

Royal Ontario Museum’s Free Main Floor
Head to the Royal Ontario Museum on Sunday because the main floor is open once again to the public. Every year, the museum gives access to its first floor for free and puts on live performances and educational activities for kids. It starts at 10 a.m and ends at 5:30 p.m.

Mabuhay Philippines Festival
The Mabuhay Philippines Festival is a two-day celebration of Filipino food, arts, culture, music and fashion. This year, the free festival will have Filipino celebrities and Raptors players in attendance! It runs from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Nathan Phillips Square.
