This festive season, there’s no place quite like St. Lawrence Market, where Toronto’s magical history meets the wintry joy of the holidays!

With over 120 vendors offering farm-fresh produce, specialty meats, artisanal cheeses, baked goods, and unique local products, the market is far more than your average shopping trip; it’s a whole experience! 

And just when you think it couldn’t get any better, when the holidays arrive is when the St. Lawrence Market truly shines.

This season, the Winter Market on Market Street returns for another year. From Nov. 20 to Dec. 22, the area transforms into a dazzling winter wonderland. Running Thursdays through Sundays, this free family-friendly celebration captures the spirit of the season with tons of festive activities to explore. 

Visitors can browse carefully handcrafted gifts and artisanal treasures while indulging in irresistible seasonal eats and cozy drinks. What’s a festive season without some carols? Well, the Winter Market comes alive with endless live music and entertainment. Families can also enjoy free photos with Santa every Saturday and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m., starting Nov. 29.

Exciting new features are also hitting Market Street this season, with a rotating mix of free attractions every Friday through Sunday! During opening weekend, take a ride on the thrilling carousel, then lace up your skates for an ice rink on the second weekend. On the third weekend, the Toronto Outdoor Picture Show will debut its first-ever winter programming in partnership with St. Lawrence Market. And after that, the skating rink returns to close out the final two weekends. 

The celebration continues at the Weekend Holiday Vendor Market by Sunday Variety Market,, where more than 75 makers and vintage sellers showcase their creations every Saturday and Sunday at 125 The Esplanade under the Temporary Tent.

Mark your calendars for the grand opening of the market on Nov. 20. Then, keep the festive spirit going on Nov. 23, as the Toronto Santa Claus Parade ends right at St. Lawrence Market, making it the perfect spot to continue the celebration! Grab a festive treat, browse the Winter Market stalls, and soak up the city’s holiday cheer all in one unforgettable day.
