Canadian television and radio host Meredith Shaw is officially joining the Breakfast Television (BT) team as its new co-host.

On Tuesday morning, Sid Seixeiro made the announcement on the BT morning show. Shaw will work with fellow hosts Frank Ferragine, Tammie Sutherland, Devo Brown and Stephanie Henry starting Sept. 11.

“I am so ready and…I’m going to get emotional. This is a dream come true and I take this opportunity so seriously and we’re going to have so much fun. I am so grateful,” Shaw said in her introduction video.

Shaw is a well seasoned Canadian broadcaster and style expert. She has previously made appearances on CTV’s “Your Morning,” “The Social,” “The Marilyn Denis Show” and “eTalk.”

Currently, the 38-year-old is hosting CHUM 104.5, iHeartRadio’s “The Back in the Day Brunch,” and CTV’s “Double Your Dish” with her fiancé, Chef Rodney Bowers. CityNews Toronto says she will also be on 98.1 CHFI and across Rogers Sports & Media’s Adult Contemporary radio stations for a weekend show segment starting in the fall.

“…This is THE best team in television and I can’t thank them enough for the support and the welcome 🙏🏻 @sid_seixeiro you’ve been in my corner from the start and I won’t ever forget it. To everyone who loves this show, please know that I do too, we will steer it together with heart, hope and a helluva good time,” the media personality said in an Instagram post on Tuesday.

Back in February, former BT host Dina Pugliese left her position to focus on family after being with the show since 2006.

In October 2022, BT news anchor Melanie Ng also left for family-related reasons and was later replaced by Sutherland.

Despite the departures, the long-standing morning show is still considered the best in the country for the last three consecutive years, according to the Canadian Screen Awards.

BT fans can watch Shaw live every weekday morning from 6 to 10 a.m. ET on Citytv, Citytv+, and Citytv.com.
