Dina Pugliese received all the flowers Friday for her last day as co-host of Breakfast Television.

Pugliese announced last week that she was retiring from the Toronto morning show to focus on her health.

“I find, more and more, it has taken both a mental and physical toll and we’ve got to listen to ourselves. We know the importance of our health. I’m taking that to heart, I’m listening,” she said during the morning show.

Pugliese has spent the last 16 years on the show and has gained a huge following of supporters who wake up with her every weekday morning.

In celebration of her last day, Breakfast Television decorated its set with colourful balloons and invited numerous guests to say goodbye to Pugliese.

Vaughan Mayor Steven Del Duca stopped by and presented Pugliese with a key to the city.

This morning on Twitter, #WeLoveYouDina was the number one trend in Canada.

Before the end of the show, Pugliese shared some advice with the audience.

“I really want everyone to be good to one another. I think that’s so important. It’s so easy to type on a keyboard. We’re all human. We’re all going through the same ups and downs,” she said.

Pugliese said her next journey will include prioritizing rest and spending time with her family, travelling with her husband, and dedicating time to her clean beauty line, The Care Principle.

Many Twitter users showed love and support to Pugliese on her last day.
