Ticketmaster says it has canceled thousands of tickets for Harry Styles’ New York residency that were purchased illegally by scalpers, as the company continues its crackdown on ticket reselling.
On Wednesday, Ticketmaster President Saumil Mehta issued a statement saying the platform had detected scalpers using multiple accounts and fake identities to bypass ticket limits and resell the tickets for profit.

“You may have seen us take similar action on other tours recently. It’s all part of our broader effort to identify and catch bad actors, enforce the rules of sale, and permanently ban accounts that violate them,” Mehta said.
Since no fans received the scalped tickets, Mehta confirmed that anyone who purchased tickets through Ticketmaster is not affected, including those who bought resale tickets or plan to attend shows outside New York City.
Fans interested in purchasing the canceled tickets at face value can request them from April 30 to May 1, with priority given to those who do not yet have tickets to the NYC shows.
Mehta added that Styles’ Together, Together residency at Madison Square Garden was a major target for scalpers. The former One Direction member is scheduled to perform 30 shows at the iconic venue beginning Aug. 26.
