The city is hosting a championship rally on Tuesday after the Toronto Argonauts won the 2024 Grey Cup following a 41-24 victory over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
On Sunday, the 111th Grey Cup was held at B.C Place in Vancouver where the Argonauts officially won its 19th Grey Cup title. This comes after backup quarterback Nick Arbuckle’s successful performance throwing two touchdown passes throughout the game.
Arbuckle was later named Grey Cup MVP, meanwhile wide receiver Dejon Brissett received the Most Outstanding Canadian award for the game-winning touchdown.
The Argos’ win marks Toronto’s second cup win in the last three years, with the most recent being in 2022.

Online, fans are happy for the team and say it’s a well-deserved win.
“Congrats to the Argos — the most unsung champions in the land. A great team victory in the 111th Grey Cup, led by deeee-fence and a Cinderella story in Nick Arbuckle, a journeyman QB who has spent most of his career as a back-up. Keep at it, Winnipeg,” one X user said.
“Congratulations to the 2024 Grey Cup Champions @TorontoArgos!!!! The way this battled all year, got a little better each week and peaked down the stretch was remarkable. You earned it fellas!!!” another user said.
“Big congrats to the Toronto Argos! Great game tonight,” another user commented.
To celebrate the Argo’s triumph, the team is hosting a championship rally for fans from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday at Maple Leaf Square.
The rally will include remarks and speeches from organization leaders, special programming, giveaways, and a live DJ. Fans are encouraged to plan their trip accordingly and arrive early to secure a good spot.

Prince Harry also made a surprise appearance prior to kick off. The Duke of Sussex stayed at the sidelines and greeted fans.
He’s currently in town to promote the Invictus Games, set to take place in Vancouver and Whistler, B.C. from Feb. 8 to 16.
During halftime, the Jonas Brothers lit up the stage playing their hit songs as a band and as solo artists. The iconic boy band opened with “What a Man Gotta Do,” then also performed “Waffle House,” “Jealous,” “Cake By The Ocean” and “Burnin’ Up,” among others, before wrapping up with “Sucker.”
