Wind down summer in Toronto with another jam-packed week of concerts at venues around the city, including Iron Maiden’s 50th anniversary tour and a joint show by 2000s juggernauts The Fray and Dashboard Confessional.
Whether you’re looking to headbang to Iron Maiden’s biggest hits or sing your heart out to country pop star Kacey Musgraves, there is a concert in Toronto this week for every music lover.
From heavy metal to throwback pop punk, concert lovers will have plenty of opportunities to catch a show or two around the GTA in the coming days.

Kacey Musgraves

- Where: Scotiabank Arena
Critically acclaimed country star Kacey Musgraves is bringing her Middle of Nowhere tour to Scotiabank Arena on Monday to support her latest album of the same name. She first gained notoriety in the country music scene in 2013, when her debut album Same Trailer Different Park won the Grammy for Best Country Album. Over a decade later, Musgraves is still dominating both award shows and the charts, having won seven more Grammy Awards and logged four top-ten albums on the Billboard 200. She is one of only a few artists in recent history to successfully cross over from country to pop, joining stars like Marren Morris, Lil Nas X and Taylor Swift. Lower bowl tickets for her show are still available starting at $98.50.
Empire of the Sun

- Where: RBC Amphitheatre
Australian electronic duo Empire of the Sun will be returning to Toronto for the first time in 13 years Tuesday night at RBC Amphitheatre. Technically a supergroup, the duo is composed of Luke Steele from alternative band The Sleepy Jackson and Nick lIttlemore of dance music band Pnau. Since their last show in the city, the duo has released two albums — Two Vines in 2016 and Ask That God in 2024 — both of which charted within the top-ten in Australia. Tickets for their show at RBC Amphitheatre are still available starting at $117.
The Fray & Dashboard Confessional

- Where: RBC Amphitheatre
Time travel back to the mid-2000s with The Fray and Dashboard Confessional this Wednesday as both bands take over RBC Amphitheatre on their joint Summer of Light tour.
The Fray is an American rock band from Colorado best known for their 2005 debut album, How to Save a Life, which spawned their wildly successful single of the same name that charted in eight countries and peaked at number three on the Billboard Hot 100. Their 2009 self-titled sophomore album found similar success and sold over 1 million copies. The Fray’s music is often described as introspective and poignant, and has been compared to Counting Crows and U2.
Dashboard Confessional is one of the most iconic emo bands of the 2000s. Fronted by Chris Carrabba, the band’s emotional and diaristic sound helped influence singer-songwriters like Taylor Swift, Kacey Musgraves, and Zach Bryan. The band has been credited for bringing emo and pop-punk music to the mainstream and Rolling Stone ranked their album The Places You Have Come to Fear at #27 in their list of the 40 Greatest Emo Albums of All Time.

First Class Fest
When: Aug. 28 and 29
Where: Sobeys Stadium
Canada’s biggest rap festival featuring the hottest underground artists is coming to Sobeys Stadium this Friday and Saturday. The two-day event will be headlined by Ohio rappers and songwriters Osamason and Lucki. Osamason has nearly 2 million listeners on Spotify, while Lucki has over 6.5 million listeners. Also on the lineup are Nettspend, untiljapan, Che, and Lancey Foux.
Two-day passes for First Class Fest are still for sale, starting at $94.95. Friday and Saturday one-day passes both start at $52.35.
Sean Paul x Farruko
When: Aug. 28
Where: RBC Amphitheatre
Two of the world’s biggest names in dancehall and reggaeton will be tearing up the stage at RBC Amphitheatre this Friday.
Sean Paul is a Jamaican rapper, singer, and songwriter who rose to fame in 2002 with his sophomore album, Dutty Rock. Over the years, he’s collaborated with Sia, Beyoncé, Simple Plan, and Clean Bandit, among other artists. Sean Paul’s 2005 hit single, “Temperature” is widely considered his “signature” song, having sold over 1.5 million copies in the U.S.
Co-headlining with Sean Paul is Farruko, a Puerto Rican rapper and singer-songwriter who has collaborated with Daddy Yankee, J Balvin, J Álvarez, and the “King of Reggaeton,” Don Omar. Since 2010, Farruko has released 10 studio albums and has won quite a few awards, including two Latin Grammy Awards and two Billboard Latin Music Awards.

Iron Maiden

Legendary heavy metal band Iron Maiden will be celebrating their 50th anniversary in Toronto this weekend on their Run for Your Lives tour at Scotiabank Arena. Formed in East London in 1975, Iron Maiden is one of the most successful metal bands of all time, having sold over 130 million copies of their 41 albums worldwide. In April 2026, the group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Iron Maiden last toured in Toronto in October 2024 on their Future Past World Tour.
Tickets for their concert at Scotiabank Arena are almost old, but there are still tickets available starting at $158.25 for partially obstructed view seats.
