It’s a great week for concert lovers in Toronto to go back in time. Whether you’re looking to jam along to Lynyrd Skynyrd like the 80s never left or relive your 2000s clubbing days with Ne-Yo and Akon, there is a concert in Toronto this week for every music lover.
From 2000s R&B to Latin music, concert lovers will have plenty of opportunities to catch a show or two around the GTA.
Here are some of the artists performing in Toronto this week:
J. Cole
- When: July 27 and 28
- Where: Scotiabank Arena
Jermaine Lamarr Cole, known professionally as J. Cole, is bringing his The Fall-Off Tour to Scotiabank Arena Monday evening, in support of his long-awaited 2026 project of the same name. J. Cole first gained prominence as a rapper in 2007 after his debut mixtape The Come Up caught Jay-Z’s attention, and eventually signed to Roc Nation in 2009. Since 2007, he has put out four mixtapes, seven studio albums, and four compilation albums. During the 2024 Kendrick Lamar and Drake feud, he briefly put out his own diss track, before quickly removing it from streaming sites. Tickets to his show start at $58 for obstructed seats.
Karol G
- When: July 29
- Where: Rogers Centre
Karol G, also known as Carolina Giraldo Navarro, is a Colombian singer and songwriter. She’ll be blowing the roof off of Rogers Stadium Tuesday night. Karol G is one of the most listened to artists on Spotify and has won nearly 300 awards during her career so far. In 2017, she released her first LP, Unstoppable, which won her the Latin Grammy Award for Best New Artist. Karol G has released five studio albums, including her latest, Tropicoqueta, in 2025. Lynyrd Skynyrd and Foreigner

- Where: RBC Amphitheatre
Lynyrd Skynyrd, one of the United States’ most iconic rock bands, will be performing with Foreigner Thursday at RBC Amphitheatre. Formed in Jacksonville, Fla. in 1964, Lynyrd Skynyrd has released a whopping 14 albums and have put on 20 concert tours. Their most recognizable singles include “Free Bird” and “Sweet Home Alabama.” In 2005, they were inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Performing alongside Lynyrd Skynyrd are Foreigner, a British-American rock band that has been active for 50 years. Despite having nine studio albums under their belt, Foreigner haven’t released any new albums since 2009 after Can’t Slow Down. They were also inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2024.

Ne-Yo & Akon
- When: July 31 and Aug. 1
- Where: RBC Amphitheatre
Ready to dance to your favourite club tracks from the mid-2000s? Then you’d better rush to buy tickets to Ne-Yo and Akon’s upcoming concert this Friday at RBC Amphitheatre.
Ne-Yo and Akon were both instrumental in shaping the 2000s R&B sound. Over the past 20 years, Ne-Yo has released 10 albums, including his latest, Highway 79, which came out earlier this July. His first two albums, In My Own Words and Because of You, both peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot 200.
Akon was also pivotal to pop and R&B music in the 2000s and early 2010s. While he’s known for being a successful solo artist, Akon also helped Lady Gaga start her career with the music video for “Just Dance.” In 2007, he broke a Guiness World Record for selling the most master ringtones in the world. Akon has put out six albums and has toured with Rihanna, Gwen Stafani, and Usher.

Daniel Caesar
- When: Aug 2
- Where: Scotiabank Arena
Canadian singer and songwriter Daniel Caesar will be playing Scotiabank Arena on Sunday night to support his latest album, Son of Spergy. Caesar has won three Juno Awards, the 2020 Polaris Prize, and won a Grammy Award with R&B singer H.E.R. He has collaborated with artists like Justin Bieber, Bon Iver, and Shawn Mendes. Upper bowl tickets are available starting at $97.18 each.
