The air’s only getting colder, but Toronto’s live music scene is turning up the heat. 

This November, the city’s stages are packed with powerhouse pop stars, rising indie favourites, and rap heavyweights ready to bring the energy. 

Whether you’re catching a sold-out show with fans who know every lyric or discovering your next favourite artist in a cozy venue, there’s no shortage of concerts to warm up your nights.

Here are six can’t-miss shows to vibe out to this November. 

The Boojums

  • Date: November 3
  • Location: The Sound Garage
  • Admission: Starting at $20

Kicking off the month is homegrown indie band The Boojums, who will bring their dreamy, guitar-forward sound to The Sound Garage. Known for their playful blend of rock and pop, the Nova Scotia-based garage-punk band has just popped up in 2024 by members Willie Stratton, Sara Eve and Peter MacInnis, and recently released their debut album titled The Boojums on Oct. 31. 

Their shows are in equal parts cozy and electric: the kind of night that reminds you why live music feels like a community.

Venue Tip: The Sound Garage is located at Blood Brothers Brewery, a newly-renovated brewery in the Geary Avenue arts district. This is the spot to try on some exquisite beer, with over 25 tap beers on site, plus cold cans and bottles, which might make the perfect concert drink! This venue is located in a renovated century-old horse stable in Toronto’s Geary Avenue arts district, making the concert even more interesting to attend.

Sabrina Carpenter: Short N’ Sweet Tour

Pop’s reigning ‘It Girl’ Sabrina Carpenter is bringing her glittering Short n’ Sweet tour to Scotiabank Arena, a show fans have been waiting for all year.

After winning over massive crowds as an opener on Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour and topping the charts with hits like ”Espresso,” and “Please Please Please,” Sabrina Carpenter is stepping into her own spotlight as a pop powerhouse with cheeky lyrics and arena-sized charisma.

Expect dazzling visuals, crowd sing-alongs, and glittering outfits that match her high-energy performance.

Venue Tip: Scotiabank Arena is located in the heart of downtown and connected to Union Station, making it easy to access by transit. This might be the perfect spot for those trying to avoid the cold, with direct access to GO transit and TTC, as well as the PATH.

TOBi: Come Back Home

  • Date: November 13
  • Location: The Opera House
  • Admission: Starting at $40.75

JUNO Award-winning rapper and singer TOBi is taking over the Opera House with an exclusive hometown show for Toronto with special guests The Honest Guy, Osé and Ace Dillinger.

Born in Nigeria and raised in Brampton, TOBi’s mix of rap and soul has made him a defining voice in Canadian music. The rapper recently released the second installment of his ELEMENTS mixtape series last July, showcasing a more liberated and laid-back side of his discography.

Venue Tip: This long-standing venue holds a special memory for many Torontonians for its classic look and history, and theatre feel. Consider getting there early on, so you can hit the coat check and bathrooms, and find your seat before the concert begins.

Sexyy Red: Live in Concert

St. Louis star Sexyy Red is bringing her viral bars and unapologetic energy to REBEL. Bursting into the mainstream with bangers like “Get It Sexyy” and “SkeeYee,” this unforgettable show will be the St. Louis star’s first time hitting up the stage in Toronto, so fans can get ready for an amazing time!

Venue tip: REBEL’s privileged location on the waterfront offers beautiful lake views and certainly the best Instagrammable shots. There are several options to access the venue, including taking the 114 bus from Union Station or the 504A or 304 streetcars, which stop nearby. Taking a rideshare or carpooling to the venue are also great options.

Gunna: Wun World Tour

  • Date: November 24
  • Location: Coca-Cola Coliseum 
  • Admission: Starting at $95

One of rap’s favourites, Gunna is also making a can’t-miss appearance in Toronto this November, for the best tracks and a good cause. First known for his collaboration with Young Thug in 2016 in “Floyd Mayweather,” the rapper has since come forward with hits like “WUNNA,” “one of wun,” and “Drip Too Hard.” 

Gunna’s Toronto show is a partnership with Live Nation, in which the rapper will be raising funds for his non-profit organization Gunna’s Great Giveaway. $1 of each ticket will be allocated to inner cities in Atlanta, and support local communities.

Yung Gravy: Voluptuous Travel Tour

Who doesn’t like a good oldie? Yung Gravy sure captures the best of nostalgic melodies, with a modern adaptation in songs that pair his baritone voice with heavy trap drums, and quotable lyrics, showcasing his passion for soul music and classic beats. 

Yung Gravy will also be hitting up Toronto this month as part of his Voluptuous Travel Tour, rocking his latest single “Debbie,” and some of his favourites like “C’est la vie” and “Betty.”
