While some matchups have already sold out, with resale prices climbing into the hundreds, there are still plenty of affordable options for fans looking to catch a game.
Standing room tickets for the home opener are available for around $30, while resale seats in the 100-level are going for roughly $60.
Other games throughout the season remain within reach, too. The May 13 matchup against the Seattle Storm has seats listed at $56.50, while tickets for the June 7 game are priced around $69.75. There’s also good availability for the July 7 game against the Golden State Valkyries, with multiple options still on the market.
Season tickets for the Tempo’s first season sold out late last year, with a waitlist now open for those hoping to secure a spot.
Torontonians vs. Ticket Resellers
While affordable tickets are available for many games online, some people in the city are salty about the price of resale tickets. For instance, tickets for the Tempo’s July 5 game against the Dallas Wings are sold out, with resale tickets priced upwards of $300.
“To hell with this b*****t city,” one person said on X, alongside a screenshot showing tickets already being resold for between $353-$428.
“Mind you, those were 96 bucks on Monday for fan club members,” one person shared.
While some people are calling for solutions to stop the price gouging, including capping resale prices, and moving the venue from Coca-Cola Coliseum to somewhere larger.
“I’m glad tickets are selling out for the WNBA and are in high demand in our city, people DO watch women’s sport,” one fan posted on X. “I think, though, those seats should be capped on resale value, OR there should be a lottery system for tix that don’t get scanned into the game within 1 hour after tip off.”
“They gotta move the game to [Scotiabank Arena] bc this sold out way too fast,” another person commented.
“Bro we need a bigger venue for Toronto Tempo I’m so sick of these resold tickets.”
