Colombia is facing Switzerland in the final Round of 16 match in the FIFA World Cup, who will make it to the quarter finals?
The two undefeated teams will play each other Tuesday afternoon at BC Place Stadium in Vancouver at 4 p.m. ET or 1 p.m. PT.
Colombia has played four World Cup matches so far, with three wins — against Uzbekistan, Democratic Republic of Congo, and Ghana — and a tie against Portugal. Colombia is currently placed 11th in the FIFA rankings.
Switzerland’s four games have also resulted in three wins and one tie. The Swiss won against Algeria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Canada. The team tied with Qatar in the group stage. Switzerland is ranked 15th by FIFA.

Myst, a bar on College Street that frequently hosts Latin dance parties, will be having a free watch party starting at 3 p.m. The bar will be showing the Colombian broadcast of the game, through the country’s leading television network, Gol Caracol. There will also be $40 beer buckets, Salchipapa, and hot dogs.
Teddy Beer

Vibey restaurant and bar Teddy Beers will also be hosting a watch party for the match-up from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Entry is $5 and there’s a $10 minimum spending requirement, but there are lots of deals during the night. If you’re committed enough to wear a team jersey, the bar will provide a welcome shot. After every goal, shots will be reduced to $5 for five minutes and there’s also a fun prize task.
Gibbons Irish Pub
- Location: 26 Duncan St.
In the heart of Downtown Toronto, Gibbons Irish Pub is hosting a World Cup watch party for the Colombia and Switzerland game from 3 p.m. to late. The cozy pub promises a 20-foot screen and cold pints of beer flowing all night long. Early bird entry tickets are free but regular tickets only cost $5.
The Warehouse Venue

For Torontonians who live in North York, there’s a watch party for you too. Barrio Presents is hosting a free watch party at The Warehouse Venue in Downsview Park. Doors to the party open at 3 p.m. There will be three large screens, table seating, an outdoor bar, and free parking.
Leo Bar and Grill

For the fans located in Scarborough, Leo Bar and Grill is hosting a Colombia vs Switzerland watch party from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The game will be playing on the big screen and attendees can guess the halftime score for free food on their next visit.

Dublin Calling, Vancouver’s most popular Irish pub for a good time, is hosting a watch party that extends to all three floors. Watch the game on 15 plus big screens with cold drinks flowing all night. However, make sure to bring two pieces of government issued ID, as the bar will become 19+ after 8 p.m.
