It appears Toronto’s newest and largest concert venue will be ready in time for the first show this summer as construction is underway, according to Live Nation.
The Rogers Stadium is an open-air concert experience that will be held at the former Downsview airport lands – with a seating capacity of 50,000, slightly larger than the 49,000 capacity at the Rogers Centre.
The stadium was announced last September as a seasonal venue that will host mega concerts during the summer season only.
K-pop band Stray Kids is set to kick off the Stadium’s first summer run on June 29, which means construction is expected to be complete before then.

This summer’s concert lineup also includes Coldplay, Oasis, System of a Down and Deftones, Oasis, and K-pop girl group BLACKPINK.
