Toronto’s biggest electronic dance music festival returns to Downsview Park this weekend, bringing three days of performances from artists including Fisher, Illenium and Charlotte de Witte.

But before heading to the outdoor festival, check Environment Canada’s weather forecast, as it’s predicting rain on all VELD days, so be prepared.

Friday will have a mix of sun and cloud, with a 40 per cent chance of showers late in the afternoon and a risk of thunderstorms. However, the high will be 30°C, and the low will be 21°C.

Saturday will be cloudy, with a 40 per cent chance of showers, a high of 26°C and a low of 17°C.

Sunday will be cloudy with a 40 per cent chance of showers, with a high of 25°C and a low of 16°C.

How to get tickets?

VELD still has single-day and 3-day tickets available.

The 3-day VIP Festival Pass is available for $675.77. Benefits of the VIP package include a dedicated, tented 19+ only area with seating and furniture that offer a clear sightline of the Main Stage, access to a VIP-only bar, VIP-only washrooms and water refill stations, front-of-the-line fast access to the site and line-by-pass wristband on-site pick-up. VIP festivalgoers can also request bottle service. Still, no re-entry is permitted, and attendees must be 19 or older.

Don’t want to spend as much on VIP and still attend the three days? Check out the General Admission Festival Pass for $489.80.

This all-age pass includes access to the festival, with no re-entry.

But if you’re only looking to party it up for a day, check out the one-day general admissions.

The Friday and Saturday General Admissions include general access for all ages, with no re-entry. The ticket for each day costs $328.58.  

The Sunday General Admission ticket is slightly cheaper at $309.99, and is also all-ages with no re-entry.

If you packed too heavy to party, lockers are available to rent. Lockers measure eight inches high, 12 inches wide and 18 inches deep, good for backpacks or purses. Plus, they’re internally equipped with a universal phone charger for iPhone or Android, and are good for single-day or full weekend use. You may also leave items overnight with a weekend subscription and have unlimited access to your locker during festival hours.

The weekend locker rental costs $99.20, or a one-day locker costs $43.40 on either day.

How to get to the festival?

Here’s how to plan your travel, according to VELD.

If you’re driving from Pearson International Airport, take Highway 409 to Highway 401 East and exit at Keele St. From there, take Keele St N. to Sheppard Ave and turn right. The entrance to the park is at Tuscan Gate & Sheppard Ave W.

If you’re driving from Barrie, take HWY 400 south to 401 Eastbound. Exit at Keele St, take Keele St. N. north to Sheppard Ave, then turn right. Follow Sheppard Ave. to Tuscan Gate.

If you’re driving from downtown, take the DVP north to HWY 401, and follow that route westbound to Allen Rd. exit. Take Allen Rd. north to Sheppard Ave, turn left onto Sheppard Ave and proceed to Tuscan Gate.

If you’re taking the TTC, make your way to Downsview Park Station. Once there, walk west on Sheppard Ave for 10 minutes until you arrive at the Festival Terrace at Downsview Park. Main entrance gates are on Carl Hall Road.

Downsview Park is also accessible by Go Transit for both northbound and southbound trips along the Barrie GO train line.
