Toronto’s Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) team recently debuted with a ton of fanfare, marking the first expansion the league has made outside of the U.S. With the season set to kick off later this week, here’s how they played and what their final roster looks like before their first regular-season game.
Preseason games

The Tempo played well against both teams, keeping the scores close until the fourth quarter. During the final minutes of both games, the Tempo lost some steam and missed some crucial baskets.
The women lost 78 to 83 to Connecticut and lost 66 to 73 against Minnesota.
Roster updates
Now that training camp is over, WNBA teams must cut down their roster size to regulation standard. Each team can have 12 active players with two additional spots for development players.

The next game for the Toronto Tempo will be on May 8 at 7:30 p.m. at Coca-Cola Coliseum against the Washington Mystics.
