Left Field Brewery Squints Sunflower Seed Gose
We can’t have a list of out-of-the ordinary beers without including Toronto’s very own Left Field Brewery. This gose is gently salty and sour enough to make you pucker. Earthy nuttiness comes from the malted sunflower seeds it’s brewed with. A refreshing take on the popular baseball snack.
$12.21 for four 355 ml cans from Left Field Brewery (36 Wagstaff, leftfieldbrewery.ca) or $3.95 per can at LCBO (lcbo.com). 5.2% ABV. Ontario-wide shipping available.
Collective Arts Blueberry Chocolate Coffee & Vanilla Sour
The Hamilton brewery recently opened a location on Dundas West. This limited edition collab with Stillwater is brewed with cocoa and coffee from Detour. Sweet-tart blueberries give a hit of acidity to balance out the creaminess of the vanilla.

Godspeed Brewery Nana Saison
This saison is brewed with Japanese Shichimi spices, which are often found in soups. Scents of yuzu, lemon zest, hot pepper, ginger and sesame hit the nose before you take your first sip. The heat from Sancho peppers lingers on the tongue.
