There’s a chill in the air — and no, it’s not because the whole world thinks you’re a loser. It’s because it’s fall. And while to some, fall might mean the multicoloured splendour of nature’s glory (eew!), to us it’s, well, an excuse to go shopping. And what better way to bust into autumn action than with a saucy new coat? Yes, we thought so, too.

It ain’t vampy if it ain’t velour. Go street style, like our oh-so-manly model, with a little flash (1, Over the Rainbow, 101 Yorkville, 416-967-7448, $185). And get some pure fall cool with a denim jacket detailed with hook-and-eye fasteners, puffy sleeves, floral appliqué (that means, like, there’s a flower on it) and a fitted bodice by Canadian line Mohawk (2, Pink Cobra, 758 Queen West, 416-504-7804, $190).

Get two of the fawn-worthiest fall trends in one with a corduroy pea coat (3, Aritzia, 280 Queen West, 416-977-9919, $225) and match it with an oh-so-classic tweed for him by Sabato Russo (4, Bütik, 652 Queen West, second floor, entrance on Palmerston, 416-603-2333, $750).

Leatherette for him (5, the Showroom, 278 Queen West, 416-340-8880, $355) and her (6, the Showroom) by Bray Steve Alan. Or go more chill with a gal’s black bomber (7, Aritzia, $165) and cord bomber for the lad by Diesel (8,the Showroom, $305). You can’t lose with denim by DKNY, especially when it has a detachable fur collar (9, Over the Rainbow, $200) or fur lining (10, Over the Rainbow, $140). And finally, go 60s chic with a red-and-white mid-length ‘tween with cool big buttons, and don’t forget your stewardess bag, baby (11, Aritzia, $398).
