
A random tree appears to be a viral tourist attraction in Toronto getting lots of people’s attention and hilarious reviews online.
“Rodney the tree” is deemed a tourist attraction on Google Maps and is located on a patch of grass near King St. and Strachan Ave. It has an average star rating of 4.9 on Google with 180 reviews, but most of the people reviewing seem like they’re making light of the “famous” tree.

The tree is gaining national and worldwide attention, with people from the U.S. U.K. and Sweden coming to visit the tree.
There’s also a Reddit thread commenting on how hilarious the reviews are.
“Need to make a trip to visit Rodney the Tree asap,” one Reddit user commented.
“Dang… now I really want a list of all the cool trees in the cities…with a tour and some cool facts about the tree….,” another Reddit user said.
Meanwhile, an X user was confused why the tree popped up when he was searching for activities to do in Toronto while he was visiting for the weekend.
“Toronto, please explain this,” he asked.
Although Rodney the tree is not a legit tourist attraction in the city, there are a variety of designated nature areas to visit in Toronto.
Some March and April activities include hiking at Rouge Park, chilling at the beach at Scarborough Bluffs, or witnessing the annual cherry blossoms in High Park.
There are also a lot of cool hidden gems that bloom in Toronto every spring as well.
A few flower shops around the city offer free flowers at the end of the day like Wild North Flowers and Toronto Flower Market, the city’s largest flower festival, is coming up soon as well.
Or visitors and locals can register for the Toronto Marathon on May 4 and train all over city-favourite parks where they can take in Toronto’s nature, like Trinity Bellwoods, Trillium Park, and Christie Pitts.
