Toronto Blue Jays fans can score free tickets to playoff games this weekend, here’s how

Hundreds of lucky Toronto Blue Jays fans are about to hit a home run! Rogers is giving away a whopping 500 free playoff tickets for every home game this weekend. 

The telecommunications conglomerate, which owns the Blue Jays, announced on Thursday that it will give away 250 pairs of tickets on the morning of each home game day during the post-season beginning Saturday.

Lucky fans will fill 500-level seats during the American League Division Series (ALDS). 

“Everyone can feel the buzz of postseason baseball across Canada right now,” Rogers Chief Brand and Communications Officer Terrie Tweddle said in a press release on Thursday. “As proud owners of the Toronto Blue Jays, we want to give even more fans and customers a chance to experience the excitement firsthand.”

For the ALDS, Rogers will distribute 250 pairs of tickets per game on a first-come, first-served basis at surprise locations in the Greater Toronto Area. The specific details will be announced on the morning of each home game at 8:30 a.m., via the company’s Instagram and Facebook pages (@Rogers).

Fans unable to snag tickets in person can also enter online by commenting on the Instagram post on the day of by 10 a.m. for a chance to win one of 10 pairs.

Rogers is also offering more chances to attend postseason games through its Rogers Beyond the Seat program. Customers can enter a grand prize contest that includes a pair of tickets, along with airfare and accommodations for each playoff series. Full details are available at rogers.com/bluejays.

The first two games of the ALDS are scheduled at the Rogers Centre on Oct. 4 and 5. As the Blue Jays earned their top seed spot in the American League East, they’ll take on the winner of the New York Yankees-Boston Red Sox series set for Thursday night.
