Sneaky Dee’s menu goes emo with City And Colour nachos

City and Colour is the latest Canadian rock band to get nacho-fied at Sneaky Dee’s.

Ahead of the Dallas Green-led acoustic emo group’s two sold-out Toronto gigs at the Molson Amphitheatre this weekend, the College Street institution has unveiled the Northern Blues Nachos.

Inspired by a song off City and Colour’s recent If I Should Go Before You, the featured menu item costs $22.50 and comprises house-made tortilla chips topped with diced steak, bacon, cheese, guacamole, sour cream, pico de gallo, mixed peppers, green onions, jalapeños and record label Dine Alone’s signature Northern Soul BBQ Sauce.

The musical food tradition began in 2011 with Cancer Bats’ The Destroyer nachos, followed by Lights’ Cactus in The Valley nachos, two Fucked Up-inspired breakfasts – the Queen of Heart Attacks and Fucked Up Breakfast – and the Death From Above 1979 nachos in 2015.

This year’s nacho choice is extra appropriate given City and Colour and Director X shot the video for Wasted Love at Sneaky Dee’s last year.
