2. Wake-up call for Canada

3. Racism, rights and resistance

No Justice, No Peace, the Law Union of Ontario‘s 2015 conference, features a full slate on pressing issues. Events get under way at Friends House, 60 Lowther, on Friday (May 8), with a panel at 6:30 pm on the federal government’s national security Bill C-51. $15. The public portion continues Saturday (May 9) at Ryerson Student Centre, 55 Gould. There are a number of panels, among them discussions of the over-representation of racialized children in the child welfare system (1 pm), racial profiling (2:45 pm) and indigenous legal traditions (4:30 pm).
