
Today marks a significant day in American politics as Donald Trump is set to make his return to the White House.
On Monday Jan. 20, Donald Trump will be inaugurated as the 47th President of the United States at an indoor ceremony at Capitol Rotunda to commence his second term in office.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
Due to cold weather concerns, ceremonies are expected to start indoors at 11 a.m. EST, at the Capitol Rotunda in Washington D.C.
At around 11:30 a.m. EST., Vice President-elect JD Vance will be sworn in.
Shortly after at approximately 12 p.m. EST, Trump will be sworn in by taking his oath of office and is expected to deliver his inaugural address.
Following this, former President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris will give their farewells to the White House and depart the U.S. Capitol.
Later, the presidential parade will take place, followed by the Oval Office Signing Ceremony at The White House, and the Commander in Chief Ball and Liberty Inaugural Ball wherePresident Trump will deliver remarks at both.
EXPECTED CANADIAN ATTENDEES
Although Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will not be in attendance, a number of Canadian politicians are expected to touch down in Washington to witness the change in office.
Some of those set to be present include Alberta Premier Danielle Smith, Industry Minister François-Philippe Champagne, Trade Minister Mary Ng, and Liberal MP John McKay.
PERFORMERS AND GUESTS
A number of big names will be performing at the inauguration, including Nelly, Snoop Dog, Kid Rock, The Village People, and Billy Ray Cyrus.
The Swearing-n Ceremony performers will include country singer Carrie Underwood, who will sing “America The Beautiful,” opera singer Christopher Macchio, who will sing the National Anthem, and 82-year-old country singer Lee Greenwood.
Jason Aldean is set to take the stage at the Liberty Ball, and the Rascal Flatts will perform at the Commander in-Chief ball.
Former Trump administration advisor Kellyanne Conway and Tesla CEO Elon Musk are set to speak on Monday.

Canadian news channels will be streaming the event, including the CBC where Adrienne Arsenault will be hosting from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
CBC Radio One will also provide coverage from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and CTV will televise pre-inauguration coverage starting at 9 a.m.
American news channels will also be streaming the event, including ABC, CBS, CNN, CSPAN, Fox News, NBC and PBS.
