The FBI has released a new photo of Ryan James Wedding, the ex-Olympic snowboarder now among the Ten Most Wanted Fugitives for allegedly running a deadly international drug trafficking operation.
On Monday, the FBI put out an updated photo of 44-year-old Wedding of Thunder Bay, Ontario, which may have been taken earlier this year.
“The photo is believed to have been taken of Wedding in Mexico during the summer of 2025,” the FBI stated.
Wedding is accused of heading an operation that moved hundreds of kilograms of cocaine from Colombia through Mexico and Southern California into Canada and other parts of the United States.
Authorities also allege he ordered multiple murders connected to the drug trade.
The U.S. Department of State Narcotics Rewards Program announced a renewed reward of $15 million in November for information leading to the arrest and/or conviction of Wedding, upped from an original $10 million in March 2025.
Wedding and his alleged second-in-command, another Canadian, Andrew Clark, were indicted in 2024 on charges including running a criminal enterprise, drug trafficking, and murder. Another indictment later added 14 more defendants and additional violent charges.
Investigators believe he is likely in Mexico, under the protection of the Sinaloa Cartel but warn he could be moving throughout North or Central America.
As a former athlete, Wedding represented Canada in snowboarding at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Wedding is described as 6’3″, 240 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes, and is known to use several aliases including “El Jefe” and “James Conrad King.”
