Following a series of multi-city residencies, new teasers by singer-songwriter Harry Styles have been popping up around the world, including in Canada. Could this mean new dates are coming for the sought-after tour, and better yet, right in Toronto?
As the summer wound down, residents enjoying the Canadian National Exhibition were pleasantly surprised to see Styles’ iconic smiley-face logos on the Exhibition Place screen.
The smiley faces have been popping up globally, as well as on the popstar’s official website.
Many fans are also receiving the smiley face doodle in the form of “snail mail,” with envelopes containing the art arriving in their own mailboxes after entering their address into a form on Styles’ website.
Now the doodles have found their way to Toronto. On many posters spotted in other cities, the date 09/10/26 is written, leading fans to speculate that new tour dates will drop on Thursday.
This comes as Styles is set to wrap his final residency in Sydney, Australia, on Dec. 13, 2026.
For September and October, the pop star is not too far from Toronto, playing 30 shows at Madison Square Garden (MSG) in New York City.
Online fan reaction
After a year of Canada being snubbed for a Styles comeback performance, fans are hoping the subliminal messaging means 2027 shows for Toronto.
“I’ve seen multiple posts of people finding these posters all over, and they’re all different! Some have 3 or 4 (of the smileys), and Canada seems to have 6! Does that mean SIX NIGHTS IN CANADA?” one TikTok user speculated.
Another fan also hoped he’d come to the city this time around.
“Hopefully it actually means something this time 🙏🏽 cuz last time we got a poster with no tour date 🥲,” the TikTok user wrote.
“IS THIS REAL, BECAUSE I SWEAR TO GOD IT BETTER BE REAL,” another fan on TikTok wrote.
Some fans were jumping the gun, sharing their disdain for Rogers Stadium as a potential venue for the future tour.
“Hopefully he does Rogers Centre, the other place is not good,” one TikTok user wrote.

Many fans also shared their disappointment in the possibility of Toronto shows in 2027, after having spent money to travel to watch Styles elsewhere.
“I LITERALLY PLANNED A TRIP TO NYC CAUSE HE WASN’T COMING HERE,” one fan on TikTok shared.
“I spent over $1000 for MSG. I live right next to [Exhibition Place],” another TikTok user said.
For now, fans will have to see if anything is announced on Thursday.
